“City to City” presents digital media artworks by international artists

09. February 2022 — 30. June 2022

Under the motto “PLAY!”, five artworks that were created as part of the award-winning City to City project will be presented to the public for the first time at a digital vernissage starting on February 9, 2022.

On Thursday December 10th, 2020 at 3:00 PM CET the opening of the virtual exhibition City to City: Human Responsibility will take place as a zoom event and livestream via Facebook.

Together with 9 international cities of the Media Arts Cluster of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the cultural office of the city of Karlsruhe had invited to apply with project proposals. Media artists from all over the world responded to the call.

Light Art Installation Kaskade

The light art installation Kaskade was designed by the light artist Rainer Kehres specifically for the façade of the Town Hall to mark Karlsruhe becoming a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts.

Images of hope: International drawing competition for children affected by Covid 19

21. January 2021 — 11. March 2021

The UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Viborg invites the world to sharpen its pencils and draw for children affected by Covid-19 across the world.
