Vom 1. bis zum 5. Juli fand die XVI UCCN-Jahreskonferenz in Braga (Portugal) statt. Über 600 Teilnehmer*innen aus mehr als 250 Kreativstädten weltweit nahmen an der Konferenz teil, um das 20-jährige Jubiläum des Netzwerks zu feiern und die Unterzeichnung des „UNESCO Creative Cities Braga Manifesto: A Culture Goal for Sustainable Development“ zu erleben.
Zur Feier des Jubiläums des Netzwerks und um die gemeinsame Arbeit als Plattform für Zusammenarbeit und Innovation hervorzuheben, wurde der neue UCCN-Bericht „The Impact of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network at Local, National, and International Levels“ während der Konferenz veröffentlicht. Das Ergebnis und Fazit des Reports ist so klar wie optimistisch: Wir müssen weitermachen und dieses wertvolle Netzwerk engagiert pflegen und Verbindungen knüpfen, um die Herausforderungen zu überwinden.
