The audiovisual 2-channel-installation INNER JOIN takes the everyday scene of cooking as the starting point for an immersive and abstract investigation of a physical-digital borderline experience.
Starting with an everyday scene of cooking a broth of vegetables and their peels, stems, leftovers etc., a dive into the broth serves as the central element.
The video meanders through an abstract body, a journey that hovers between the physical and the digital, while the sound transforms into a polyphonic setting of organic and electronic sounds and spacey drone sounds.
Read text passages, whispered and spoken fragments create a thought space about our inner life and physicality in an increasingly digitalised time.
