Those socialised as female learn early to function, mediate, endure and remain emotionally available – without taking up space themselves. With FURIE, Isabelle Konrad develops an Atlas of Female Rage, mapping archetypical figures as energy states of feminine anger across image, video, sound and performance.
The presentation at studio hö offers a glimpse into this ongoing collaborative process. It introduces the first figure: The Warrior – embodying the defensive and protective force of female rage. Alongside her, the work Relentless shows a machine swinging a flag without pause, becoming an endless act of protest. Also on view are the first results from the Anger Archive, developed in regular open workshops where participants contribute to the Atlas both physically and digitally.
Media artist Isabelle Konrad is the 2026 fellow at studio hö. A public program accompanies the project throughout its run at until December 2026. More information and all dates are on the project’s website.
