Due to the current climate situation, changes to our traffic and mobility behavior are more necessary than ever. Carsharing is a sensible alternative to private car traffic. It reduces both the number of kilometers driven and the number of vehicles in public spaces.
The Carsharing – Karlsruhe project works with open data from Germany’s largest carsharing provider, Flinkster, and presents it to Karlsruhe inhabitants in the form of an animated visualization.
Carsharing – Karlsruhe is a part of the Urban Data Patterns project, which develops generative data patterns for various aspects of urban life. The project offers an unfamiliar view of the city and its data from the specific combined perspective of visual art and data science.
