Documentary Festival in Karlsruhe
On Wednesday, 13.05.2026, the 13th dokKA Documentary Festival will open at the Kinemathek Karlsruhe. For more than 10 years, the festival has been presenting not only documentary films but also audio documentaries in cinemas as part of a concept that is unique in Germany; it focuses in particular on current and socially relevant topics and their exploration through artistic media.
The 2026 programme comprises 20 documentary films and audio documentaries; in addition, discussions with the filmmakers and audio authors in attendance will take place in the foyer following all screenings. Highlights include the dokKa breakfast, the HfG’s Filmschool Picks, the festival party and the industry get-together with AG DOK Südwest.
Further information on the programme can be found here.
