New Leadership for the Media Arts Sub-Network Coordination Team

14. July 2025

At the 17th Annual Conference of the UNESCO Creative Cities held in Enghien-les-Bains on June 23 and 24, 2025, the coordination team of the Media Arts subnetwork underwent a transition.

After 12 years of dedicated leadership by Dominique Roland — director of the Centre des Arts in Enghien-les-Bains, artistic director of the International Digital Arts Biennial Bains Numériques, and Deputy General Manager for Digital Innovation and Development of the City of Enghien-les-Bains — who is warmly thanked by the network and its partners for his commitment and lasting impact, the coordination team now includes Joana Miranda (General and Executive Coordinator of Braga Media Arts, Portugal), Laura Odegaard (Cultural Investment Programme Manager, City of Austin Department of Economic Development, USA), and Daniela Burkhardt (Executive Coordinator, UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Karlsruhe, Germany).

This renewal of the coordination team marks the beginning of a new chapter of collaboration, creativity, and shared vision for the network’s future, and for the advancement of the Media Arts field in particular.
