Chiharu Koda, together with various artists, presents three interactive works in the production and exhibition space studio hö, where she was awarded the first media art residency grant.
The installation Substance, a collaboration with Sierk Schmalzriedt, consists of water bowls set into motion by sound vibrations. Live-coding artists from Karlsruhe control the sounds in real time, exploring how resonance functions in communication and nature.
Imaginat invites visitors to create a composition from various materials. An AI system interprets this composition as a “flow image” and projects it in real time. This creates a creative dialogue between people, machines, and the city’s history.
Delta is a poetic spatial installation where movement and encounters continuously reshape the urban space. Koda combines analogue materials like wood, sustainable plastic, and concrete with sensors, motors, and digital processes. The result are kinetic sculptures that connect technology with sensory experiences.
In cooperation with Hoepfner Foundation.
