Whose Stories is a digital map with an audio collage discussing politics of visibility within the context of city (hi)stories. Based on the example of Karlsruhe, various sound pieces critically examine existing stories, retell and broaden them, and give space to experiences and memories that are invisible in dominant urban remembrance.
On August 17, the project’s website will be launched along with a row of events at COLA TAXI OKAY.

Soundrecording workshop SHHH – ZZZZ – BRRR
In SHHH – ZZZZ – BRRR we’ll listen to the sounds that surround us and search for the stories they tell. Which sounds do we hear first? What surprises us? Which sounds are so quiet or commonplace that we almost miss them? What sounds do we make while moving through the city? Do they remind us of other places?
Together, we’ll explore Kronenplatz using different recording devices to capture urban sounds. At the end, we will compile all the recordings into a large audio piece for you.
This workshop is open to everyone. Please register via mail@miokojima.com.
