Sounds from recursive processes, droning artifacts and trembling oscillators. Algorithmic music away from algoraves. The Karlsruhe TOPLAP community hosts the concert and meetup event and presents the other sides of live coding in ßpace. TOPLAP Karlsruhe is a local affiliate of Transdimensional Organization for the Pragmatics of Live AudioVisual Programming, a worldwide network for live programmed art and artistic programming.
The night before, April 15, the jubez celebrates the danceable facet of live coding with Algorave. The event iterative ßpace complements the Algorave and presents experimental and hybrid live coding away from massive dance rhythms the following afternoon. Enriched also by the presence of international live coders, the concert brings another side of algorithmic music to the local audience, while the meetup offers more space for exchange both between the artists and the audience and between the international and local live coders.
