Filmtheater Schauburg

The Filmtheater Schauburg is Karlsruhe’s oldest cinema, showing films for the first time in 1929 in the rooms of the former Apollo Varieté Theater. Today, it consists of three auditoriums. The largest auditorium has a curved Super Cinerama screen, making it one of the few movie theaters in Germany that can show films using Todd AO technology25. This high-class image and sound technology is not only highly regarded and known throughout Germany, but also internationally. This is where analog meets digital high-end projection.
