Frucht Fleisch is the title of Laura Gaiser’s video installation, which will be on display until September 11. The winner of the Werner-Stober-Foundation Art Prize 2021 is showing her solo exhibition at the Forum. On display are four films that Gaiser has put together from individual images using the stop-motion technique. The transparent canvases allow the light and colours of different levels of reality to merge into a new, surprising unity. This superimposition creates surreal effects.
The artist visualises dreams and fears, gives expression to violence and injuries. Some scenes can be quite disturbing.
