Felix Seelos studied painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe and graduated in 2021 as a master student of Prof Erwin Gross. His artistic practice centres on the interweaving of traditional painting and digital image generation. By using a latent diffusion model (LDM), he creates precise pictorial compositions that reinterpret the visual heritage of the early Renaissance – in particular that of Hieronymus Bosch and Jan van Eyck – with elements of contemporary science fiction. His works combine historical art influences with modern technology and reflect on human existence in an increasingly technologized world.
