Alessandro Lupi was born in Genoa, Italy, where he also studied at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti. The artist now lives and works in Berlin. His art has been exhibited in many places, including the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Uffizi Museum in Florence, and the Avesta Museum in Sweden. In 2008, he created a permanent installation for the Havana Biennale, followed in 2010 by a sculpture for the city of Ljubljana on the occasion of its designation as UNESCO World Book Capital. Lupi explores light and color as well as space and time. Opposites coexist equally in his works, opening up new perspectives.
