Visual Groove of Jazzclub Karlsruhe enters a new round: On 5 and 6 September, the Karlsruhe Palace will once again be the venue for the special concert series that combines jazz and video art as part of the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE. The event also fits the motto “music4life”, which was chosen by Prof. Peter Weibel, curator of the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Karlsruhe and artistic director of the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe.
The pianist and keyboardist Roman Schuler will perform this year with his formation “extended Trio”. “RSxT” with Konrad Herbolzheimer on electric bass and Alex Klauk on drums combines groove-driven piano trio jazz with hip-hop beats and electronic sounds and explores the boundaries between jazz and pop. In addition, video artist Andreas Siefert will project live-produced images and visual effects onto the walls of Karlsruhe Palace. Together, the artists will once again create a unique audiovisual experience for their audience on the Schlosswiese. The concerts begin at 9.30 pm.
Visual Groove was supported by the UNESCO City of Media Arts Karlsruhe 2020 project support program for media art.
