Summer Exhibition at the Karlsruhe Art Academy

For four days, visitors will have the opportunity to embark on an artistic journey of discovery in the studios – which have been transformed into exhibition spaces – and gain an overview of the current work of more than 300 students at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. The classes from the studios at Scheibenhardt Castle will exhibit their work together in the Lichthof.

The opening, featuring the presentation of certificates and awards, will take place on Wednesday, 15.07.2026, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the atrium. Afterward, visitors are invited to tour the class studios in the buildings at Reinhold-Frank-Straße 81 and 83, as well as in the Sculpture Garden at Bismarckstraße 67. These buildings will be open to art lovers continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the following three days. On Sunday, the buildings will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On Saturday, 18.07.2026, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m., the focus will be on the branch location at Scheibenhardt Castle. In the evening, the students’ popular summer party, organized by the AStA, will take place.

While touring the exhibitions in the studios, visitors can take guided tours of the Reinhold-Frank-Straße and Bismarckstraße buildings on Saturday,18.07.2026, and Sunday, 19.07.2026, 2026, at 12:00 midday and 4:00 p.m. each day. The tours are free of charge!

On Friday morning, 17.06.2026,, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., students interested in the visual arts are welcome to visit the Academy. After a brief overview of the academic offerings and the structure of the university, the young visitors will set out on their own to explore the studios.
