studio hö is located at the intersection where KIT, the red-light district, and the entrance to Oststadt meet. It is a place where different worlds overlap. Large windows open the space onto the street, making it a permeable part of the city.
During the three winter months, the space is specifically allocated to emerging artists. Teams consisting of students from at least two different universities can apply for Sprint 3. The call is open to students from all universities in Karlsruhe, particularly the Academy of Arts, the University of Arts and Design, the University of Education, the University of Music, the KIT Faculty of Architecture, and other academic departments at KIT.
We are looking for a collaborative artistic concept that engages with this unique space and makes use of its potential as a production and exhibition space. A jury of experts will select one team for Sprint 3 from among all submissions.
The project will be accompanied and supported by mentoring from the art network ato and a materials grant of 2,000 euros. An interim presentation at Kunstrauschen during art KARLSRUHE will provide insight into the process before the project is finally presented at studio hö in March 2027.
