The SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Karlsruhe will return once again this year to the baroque façade of Karlsruhe Palace, transforming it into a stunning digital artwork from August 14 to September 14, 2025.
Under the motto The Shining Lights of Science, this year’s projections are dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and focus on inventive spirit, research and technological progress.
International artists and collectives will present new projection mapping shows that will transform the palace square into a glowing festival of media art every evening.
Media art also pulsates beyond the palace façade in Karlsruhe: accompanying light and sound installations, as well as video projections across the city, transform the UNESCO City of Media Arts into an open gallery as part of Media art is here, making the connection between art, science, and urban space come alive.
