An evening of art, encounters and inspiration awaits Karlsruhe on February 21, 2025: as part of art karlsruhe, Kunstrauschen opens the doors to around 20 offspaces and project spaces. The Long Night of Project Spaces guides visitors free of charge through a vibrant art scene that offers pulsating creativity far away from established institutions. Between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., the city is transformed into a network of discovery spaces where contemporary art can be experienced in all its nuances.
The participating spaces – from backyard workshops and rooms in private homes to professional studios or old industrial facilities – are an expression of the creativity that characterizes Karlsruhe. Together, they present a platform that focuses on experimental work, self-determined processes and unusual perspectives. The event creates a unique opportunity to get closer to the independent art scene.
Kunstrauschen is more than just an evening of open doors. It is a dialog, an invitation to engage with art that goes its own way. The unifying element of the evening remains the encounter: with artists, with works, with other visitors. The variety of spaces, from cellars to private apartments to backyard workshops, makes it clear how lively and unpredictable art can be. A free shuttle bus ensures that visitors can easily reach all stations and enjoy the overall experience to the full.
The event is organized by the Cultural Office of the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Karlsruhe and the UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Karlsruhe together with the project spaces, supported by art karlsruhe and Hirsch Reisen GmbH.
