Film classics under the open sky: the student cinema Kino im Blauen Salon once again invites you to this year’s HfG Open Air Cinema on the lawn in front of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG). Under the motto Freedom in Change, the festival presents a week of cinematic highlights in a summery atmosphere.
Programme highlights:
- 23. May: 12 Angry Men (1957) – 35mm original version
- 24. May: Touki Bouki (1973) – 35mm OmU
- 25. May: Orlando (1992) – 35mm OmU
- 29. May: The all-round reduced personality – Redupers (1978) – 35mm German original version
- 30. May: Cult Sneak
- 31. May: The Last Laugh (1924) – silent film with live accompaniment: piano: Richard Siedhoff, percussion: Frank Bockius
- 1. June: Pippi on the Run (1970) – 35mm DF
The supporting programme starts daily at 8pm with DJ sets, a bar and food stands. A short film on 16mm will be shown from 9:15 pm, followed by the main film at around 9:20 pm. Admission is free, donations are welcome.
