Casablanca

CEA2016

Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco, is known beyond its borders as a center of business. But the city also offers a number of cultural attractions: from the Hassan II Mosque, the fifth largest mosque in the world, to the Casablanca Cathedral, which now functions as a cultural center, to the Villa Arts – Casablanca is home to a vibrant cultural scene.

From a media art perspective, the city is best known for the Festival International d’Art Vidéo de Casablanca (The Casablanca International Video Art Festival), which has resulted from the fusion of traditional and new arts and offers artists an opportunity for individual, professional and social transformation.
