The organization Ausgeschlachtet e.V. was founded in 2010 for the purpose of officializing the use made of a decommissioned abattoir compound in Karlsruhe, the Alter Schlachthof.
The group is a multidisciplinary association of cultural institutions, businesses from the creative industries, artists, artist organizations and independent cultural bodies.
