QueerScope, the association of independent queer film festivals in German-speaking countries, is meeting from 8 to 10 May 2026 in Karlsruhe. 27 member festivals, which together reach around 45,000 visitors annually, are coming together for exchange, networking, and shared reflection — with queer perspectives firmly at the centre.
The host is PRIDE PICTURES Queer Film Festival Karlsruhe, one of the most significant queer film festivals in Germany. For over 30 years, it has been bringing queer stories to the screen — and since 2024, in partnership with the UNESCO City of Media Arts Karlsruhe, it has presented the PRIDE PICTURES PRISM Award, a short film prize worth 1.000 euros honouring outstanding international queer short films.
