The Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design invites you to the ceremonial opening of the 2026/27 winter semester on Monday, October 12, 2026, starting at 4:00 p.m. Guests, friends, and supporters of the university, as well as new students and staff, are welcome to attend.
The program will include speeches by HfG alumna Norina Quinte (ato vision) and Simon Meienreis, artistic director of the Theater Baden-Baden. In addition, the evening will introduce new faces and names at HfG Karlsruhe, present current projects, and honor graduates from the previous semester during the traditional diploma ceremony. The stage program will be complemented by musical and performance pieces.
Following the official stage program, the AStA invites all guests to a get-together at the AStA bar. Over drinks and conversation, guests can toast the new semester and wind down the evening.
