At dusk, wooden models of various buildings by Karlsruhe’s city architect Friedrich Weinbrenner (1766–1826) are illuminated. The models were presumably made for research purposes before the Second World War. Every winter, they form the backdrop of the Christmas nativity scene in the parish church of Cyriakus in Karlsruhe-Bulach.
The artist Kento Tomiyoshi (flightgraf) transforms the models through his light installation, opening up new perspectives on Weinbrenner’s historic legacy.
