Under the title Chlorreiche Tage, the Rüppurr open-air pool will be transformed from 05.-06.06.2026 into
an extraordinary exhibition space, thereby bringing the venue to life in a new way. On display
will be around 40 works by local artists and designers, who explore open-air pool culture in a variety of ways. The project is organised and curated by a collective from the HfG Karlsruhe, comprising Charlotte Singer, Lisa Eigmüller, Pauline Kuch and Lilith Stumpf.

Outdoor swimming pools are places of culture, democracy and social participation. They invite us to rethink collective leisure. At the same time, they are repeatedly subject to political and economic pressure. Against this backdrop, Chlorreiche Tage takes a stand and seeks to approach these meeting places—which are worth protecting—through artistic practice. Visitors are invited to admire the works, linger and,
of course, go for a swim.

The open-air exhibition opens on Friday, 05.06.2026, 15:00 with welcoming remarks and a food installation. Followed by a performance from the synchronised swimming team of SSC Karlsruhe, who will present a specially choreographed water show.
