Nikolaus Völzow (b. 1980) is a media artist and software developer based in Karlsruhe. He works at the intersection of interactive technology, immersive environments, and contemporary media art, creating spatial installations that combine real-time graphics, audiovisual elements, and sensor-based interaction. Holding a degree in computer science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), he began working at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe immediately after graduating and later joined the Laboratory for Experimental Museology at EPFL in Lausanne. Since 2011, he has been working as an independent developer and artist, collaborating closely with artists and cultural institutions to realize interactive installations, performative works, and large-scale projections.
