Cali to Karlsruhe is an exchange program between the two UNESCO Creative Cities of Media Arts, Karlsruhe and Cali. Since 2023, it has regularly brought together media artists from both cities, enabling on-site residencies. Its aim is to foster international collaboration in the development and production of a joint media artwork.
In 2024, the artists Daniela Vargas from Cali and Lehel Lajos from Karlsruhe were selected for the program. The artistic work created during their residencies was presented from August 14 to September 14, 2025, as part of the annual exhibition Media art is here in Karlsruhe – a platform that showcases outstanding international positions in media art.
