Energy is one of the central issues of our time – and a point of friction in politics and society.
From July 3 to 5, 2025, around 80 students from the Information Design program at the Faculty of Information Management and Media will present current projects related to the topic of the energy transition. The exhibition will take place at the Amalienstraße satellite campus of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Admission is free.
We use energy every day – often without consciously noticing it. Only headlines about power outages or terms like “dark doldrums” and “heating hammer” make our dependency visible. Which forms of energy generation are truly future-proof? What do we need to ensure we have sufficient energy in the future? And what does “sufficient” actually mean – can it also be sustainable?
The exhibition spaces of the program will feature information graphics, photography, video, and interactive multimedia installations. The exhibition KURZ SCHLUSS ENERGIE offers a chance to explore the diverse perspectives of young designers on the energy transition – and invites visitors to engage with the far-reaching dimensions of the topic themselves.
