digiTALK: smART City – Kunst und Kultur in der Stadt der Zukunft

20. May 2025

Karlsruhe digiTALK on smART City – Art and Culture in the City of the Future on May 20, 2025, at 7 p.m. at TRIANGEL Transfer | Culture | Space at Kronenplatz.

Karlsruhe as a UNESCO City of Media Arts: How Art Shapes the City of Tomorrow. Art is more than decoration – it provokes thought, inspires new ideas for urban development, and creates spaces for collaborative creation. The next digiTALK, the digital roundtable Karlsruhe #digitalkka, focuses on the intersection of smart cities, art, and culture. How can art influence the development of cities? What role does digital culture play in shaping visions for our society? Media art opens up new possibilities: it brings people together, connects perspectives, and makes complex topics tangible in public spaces through installations, visualizations, or participatory projects. The digiTALK will explore questions such as: What does participation mean in the city of the future? And how can digital technologies be used not just to increase efficiency but also to enable collaborative design?

The audience is warmly invited to join the discussion!

Moderator: Uwe Gradwohl, Head of SWR Wissen Aktuell and long-time host of #digiTALK
Location: TRIANGEL Transfer | Culture | Space, Kronenplatz
Start: 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

The event is free of charge and no registration is required.
