Arie Syarifuddin, also known as Alghorie, is an artist, curator, cultural producer, designer, and director of the artist-in-residency department at Jatiwangi Art Factory in Jatiwangi. Jatiwangi, located in West Java, is Indonesia’s biggest roof-tile manufacturing center. Redesigning, hacking, giving value and dignity to ordinary things, negotiating between fiction, dreams, reality, everyday life, and exploring historical narratives are the main themes in Arie’s works.
