With exhibitions, conferences, seminars and information events, Architekturschaufenster e.V. (ASF) aims to raise awareness of the quality of the designed environment at the interface of architecture, art and design. As such, ASF brings together different disciplines—architects and urban planners as well as interior designers and landscape architects. Its mandate is therefore not limited to the building and planning disciplines, instead consciously exploring the interfaces to art and design.
In addition, ASF’s activities also engage with current debates and issues concerning local building culture. It provides professional input and opens the discussion to a broader audience. The aim is to cultivate a constructive exchange rather than to impress with flashy juxtapositions. Finally, it makes a point of integrating current topics such as sustainability and energy, mobility or demographic changes.
