The art project beambike allows art in public spaces to be experienced sustainably. With his e-Bike which is equipped with mobile projection technology, Jonas Denzel artistically stages urban places such as bridges, statues, trees or underpasses with his projection mappings. The individual locations – even those that at first seem rather inconspicuous or unattractive – are enhanced with projections that integrate into the surroundings and are spontaneously mapped to the respective object. The projected images are usually preproduced but occasionally mapped live or added by interactive components. All mobile projections will be experienced spontaneously and unexpectedly at different locations in Karlsruhe during Seasons of Media Arts.
