Images of hope: International drawing competition for children affected by Covid 19

In context with the Initiative UNITED DANISH APPEAL FOR FUNDS* the UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Viborg invites the world to sharpen its pencils and together with Denmark draw for children affected by Covid-19 across the world

Covid-19 is have a deep impact on the lives of people all over the world. The mission of the project is to help to improve conditions for children in poorer regions and countries where the pandemic has led to hunger, a collapsed healthcare system and closed schools.

From January 21 to March 11, 2021, children and young people from the UNESCO Creative City of Media Art Karlsruhe are invited to participate in a creative way in this international drawing challenge to draw a picture of hope for the world's most vulnerable children. The drawings will be a "gift" to other children in the form of a visual expression that brings hope and draws attention to the problems in the world - we see them, think about them - and make sure they are seen.

Finally, the organizers will make a film with all the drawings. It will be shared with the whole world through Viborg's worldwide UNESCO network and on various other platforms.

 

Conditions of participation:

Pictures drawn by children and young people of all ages can be submitted. Children and young people are allowed to present the Corona crisis in their own way. For example, white through a drawing that shows people fighting as superheroes against the Corona crisis. Each drawing (also with the help of parents) should be provided with name, age, city and country and can be shared on the following platforms:
